Time management in law school is essential to success. From day one of class you are expected to have read, prepared, and briefed cases. It is imperative to stay organized and dedicated to a schedule so that you can manage your time effectively.
Time management in law school isn’t just about class though. It is also about managing your sleep, exercise, and your life outside of law school. The first few weeks of school were difficult, but I believe it was because I didn’t have a schedule to fall back on. I would definitely recommend setting a schedule that you can follow every day. Even if you don’t have class until 10:00am one day, and the rest of your classes are at 8:00am throughout the week, don’t sleep in. Stay on a set schedule and it will help you tremendously. Furthermore, it is so helpful to make sure to have fun while you are in law school.
