The Law College established in June 1935 and one among the few oldest law colleges, is a grant-in-aid institution offering 3-year LL.B. programme, leading to LL.B. (General) and LL.B. (Special) degrees.
It is also a Post-Graduate (LL.M.) Centre in Law, providing extensive teaching in Law and Deviance (Criminal Law) subjects.
It is permanently affiliated to the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and is recognised and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Government of Gujarat.
It has an Alumni Association with specific provision to associate current law students in its objective and activities.
Large number of its past students are eminent advocates practising before the State and the Union Judiciary. Many of the alumni have adorned the Bench of the Supreme Court of India and several high courts, namely, Hon’ble Chief Justice A.M. Ahmedi, Hon’ble Justice D.A. Desai, and Hon’ble Justice D.C. Gheewala. Many have joined the district and the subordinate level judiciary and some of its students are pursuing advanced studies, in prestigeous law colleges/universities, abroad.

The College intends to start –
(1) Five Year Integrated Double Degree Programme after Higher Secondary.
(2) Diploma, Certificate, Specialisation and other Value Added Courses in developing areas of law such as environment law, cyber law, intellectual property law and other areas of contemporary relevance.
(3) Programmes for soft skill development including communication skill, faculty development and Students’ progression and support programmer.
(4) Enhance Institution-Industry interface.
(5) Fully Functional Legal Aid Clinic on and off the Campus and Placement Centre.

The LL.B. and LL.M. curriculum have been throughly revised and updated as per the UGC, the BCI and University norms and guidelines.
The students shall be required to study, the following courses. The end semester University exam papers shall generally be of 3 hours duration.
The courses and their contents are subject to change from time to time and as the when prescribed by the competent authorities.
The LL.B. Programme is Oriented of Professional excellence and the LL.M. Programme is rigorous with intensive research orientation and inter disciplinary approach.
