She regularly assists clients in trade remedies ie levy of anti-dumping duty and safeguard duty before the Commerce Ministry and during appeal proceedings before higher appellate foras.
Smita Singh is a qualified attorney who focuses on indirect taxes like central excise, service tax, VAT/CST and R&D, providing both litigation and advisory services. She also leads the team on GST, proposed to be introduced in India. She advises clients in relation to structuring operating models and providing options to mitigate indirect taxes costs and operates in compliant manner. She regularly appears before departmental adjudication and appellate authorities.
