A contribution from a local law firm allowed The Howard School to make some much-needed repairs.
McMahan Law Firm donated $11,000 to help renovate the school’s concession and press box areas on the football field.
Partner Brent Burks says he’s hoping the upgrades will make a difference for the Tigers during football season.
“It’s the kind of thing Jay and I like to get involved in,” said Burks. “We look for stuff like this to give back to the community and we jumped at the chance.”
Howard Principal Chris Earl says the donation will help immensely.
“It’s really done a lot for the morale of the school, the athletic program, sometimes you don’t think a lot about the aesthetics, but upgrades allow morale to be built,” said Earl.
The donation provided electrical and infrastructure updates.
